Welcome To the

Geriatric Society of Trinidad and Tobago

Dedicated to enhance the Health, Independence and Quality of Life.

Older Adults & Society

Ageing is a natural and valuable stage of life, a reflection of growth, wisdom, and human achievement. It should be embraced with dignity, respect, and appreciation. Ageing is not something to fear and every individual deserves to grow older with rights, purpose, and quality of life.

Ageism, the stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination against older adults, has no place in society. Human rights remain the same throughout life and older persons must always be treated with fairness and respect.

The Geriatric Society of Trinidad and Tobago, established in October 2023, was created to strengthen healthcare services for older adults across the nation.

We are committed to improving the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults through compassionate, specialized, and holistic care that supports their physical, psychological, and social well-being.

Our goal is to ensure that every older adult receives respectful, high-quality care that empowers them to live active, meaningful, and fulfilling lives.
